Lead, Women and Web Literacy and Mozilla Clubs
Amira Dhalla is the Lead for Mozilla Foundation’s Women and Web Literacy initiative and the Mozilla Clubs program. Through both of these projects, Dhalla works to bring digital literacy to thousands of people globally working. Through partnerships with the Ford Foundation and UN Women, Dhalla has managed projects in Brazil, Kenya, and South Africa. Before coming to Mozilla, Dhalla worked to build communities and movements among nonprofits, startups, social enterprises and technology-focused organizations. A skilled facilitator and presenter, Dhalla speaks about the importance of protecting the web as a global public resource, developing inclusive learning spaces, and female empowerment.
