Ingrid coordinates the Women’s Rights Online country partner network and research initiatives. Prior to joining the Web Foundation in 2014, Ingrid coordinated a network of anthropologists across Africa conducting ethnographic research on ICTs, and co-edited a published book on “Mobilities, ICTs and Marginality in Africa: South Africa in Comparative Perspective”. Her work has also included extensive fieldwork, and monitoring and evaluation activities for initiatives in education, health, and social development across South Africa. Ingrid has a MA in Social Anthropology and is currently pursuing a PhD. She is based in Cape Town.
